Nominations Open for First Trainee Representative on Dental Council

Nominations are now open to all holders of the MFDS, based in the UK, who would like to be considered for election as the first Trainee Representative on RCSEd’s Dental Council.

This is an exciting opportunity for the views of trainees to be represented across all aspects of the Faculty’s activities.

Those wishing to stand must also be in good standing with the College and have an NTN number. Nominations from those wishing to stand must be received by Friday 19 May 2017. The nomination form is available at the bottom of this page.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those trainees who have updated their details, by doing so you have ensured that you are able to vote in this election should you be eligible to do so. If you have not yet updated your details, can I please encourage you to do so by the deadline for nominations (Friday 19 May 2017). Please note that if you have not done so by this date you may not be afforded the opportunity to take part in this election process.

To register on the website or to update your details visit this page

Once you are logged in, click on My Profile (top right). From the SUB MENU select Professional Details and check that the Grade, Expected CCT Date and Trainee Number (NTN) are populated. The Trainee Number (NTN) should be in the format xxx/xxx/xxx/x.

If you do not have login details for the RCSEd secure members login site, could you please email the web helpdesk at webhelpdesk@rcsed.ac.uk

Finally, we are aware of some groups of trainees who are post CCST, who unfortunately will not be eligible under the Dental Faculty’s current Regulations to take part in this election process. Whilst it has not been possible to include them this time around, the Dental Faculty plan to make the necessary changes to its Regulations in order to ensure that they can be incorporated in future such elections.
