The recent announcement made by the Prime Minister to increase restrictions across many parts of the UK, followed by the First Minister of Scotland effectively putting Scotland into lockdown from the 26th December, has meant that we have had to review our activities in January 2021.

We have taken the decision to close the College campus in Edinburgh for the whole of January and to cancel all face-to-face events – courses and examinations – which were to be held there in January. The situation at our Birmingham Centre will be kept under constant review as the guidelines in England change.

Our hotel, Ten Hill Place Hotel is now closed to the end of January and our College Museum will remain closed for the month of January too.

This decision has not been made lightly and is in response to the news about the new more easily transmitted variant of the virus, together with the new restrictions being imposed in all four nations.

We ask you to have some understanding with us at this challenging time. A proportion of our staff will be on Furlough Leave and others will be working from home during January so you may experience a short delay in response to the day to day enquiries.

We are still continuing to prepare for Examinations and Educational courses and events, scheduled for the following months, so please look out for updates on our website or in our Weekly Digest, which will restart again from the 8th January 2021.

We will continue to work hard to bring you online events, courses, examinations and our well-received webinars throughout this time. But face-to-face activities, or activities where our staff would normally have to travel to work, may be curtailed during January.
