Guide to Applying Online
We will make every effort to ensure that your application is processed quickly.
At each critical stage of the application process, you will receive automatic updates by email – SMS updates to your mobile are available upon request.
What You Need
To apply online, you require an active RCSEd user account and your credit card or debit card details.
If you do not have an RCSEd user account, please follow the instructions on the online registration page to set up an account, which can be found here.
First-time applicants will need to have the details of:
- Their basic degree
- Their training
- Dates of passing primary examinations
You will be prompted to enter the required information, with payment made at the very final stage of the process.
We regret that it is not possible to save an incomplete application to return to it at a later date.
However, it is possible to work through the process without making a payment in order to ascertain the information required to be entered online.
Your Contact Details
Before you begin the process, please take a minute to log on to your account and check that your contact details are up to date. It is extremely important that your postal and email addresses are correct within your user account.
These addresses will be used to contact you with your examination notice and results.
If your address changes after you have applied online it is important that you update your RCSEd account to reflect your new address.
The Process
When you are ready to apply online, select the examination you wish to apply for from the search bar using the Browse All Exams button found here.
Click on 'Book now' then simply follow the instructions as you progress through the online application process.
The examination fee will be withdrawn from your bank account immediately.
Please note: if you have not attempted the examination at RCSEd but have taken the examination at another College you must apply online through the first-time candidate route.
The re-sit route is only open to candidates who have previously attempted the examination with RCSEd.
