The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 25,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
About the Role
The role of the Senior Administrator is to provide administrative support to the Executive Council, Council and Committees of the Faculty. In particular, the senior administrator will support the Head of Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine in his/her wider role.
This is a terrific opportunity for an individual who is self motivated, confident, conscientious and willing to take on new challenges. Educated to HND/Degree level or with demonstrable relevant experience you will have good communication skills and excellent organisational, verbal and written skills. You will have the ability to use IT systems efficiently and effectively (MS suite) and the ability to work with high degree of accuracy and to tight deadlines.
The ability to prioritise day-to-day workloads and work with minimal supervision is essential whilst experience in marketing programmes/events and working in a health or educational environment is desirable. Experience of working in an environment with both executive and non-executive officers and experience of working in a membership environment would be advantageous.
