International Dental Ambassadors
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 26,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
The Faculty of Dental Surgery is the largest of the College's faculties with almost 7,000 Fellows and Members worldwide and an extensive portfolio of exams and courses held throughout the year.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a supportive, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to be the face of the Faculty of Dental Surgery for the whole dental team within the region in which the Ambassador has responsibility. They will provide an impetus within their region to engage with the views of all members of the dental team and to promote the career benefits of being a Member of the Faculty and the College.
International Dental Ambassadors must hold a minimum of a Dental Membership, have enthusiasm, drive and passion for the development of others and be in good standing with the College. Applicants who are not currently College Members must affiliate with RCSEd prior to confirmation of their appointment. They should hold GDC registration and be in good standing. They must have no conflict of interest as defined in Dental Regulation 28.
