The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients.  Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership of over 26,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.

About the Role

Working within the Communications section the post holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining a positive College identity across a broad range of social media channels. 

There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work occasionally.

Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills

This is a superb opportunity for an individual who is energetic, enthusiastic and creative.

Educated to degree level, you will have demonstrable experience in delivering impactful, evidence based, social media campaigns.

You will have excellent communication and team working skills. You will be a proficient user of a variety of social media platforms and crucially social media monitoring software; as well as Mailchimp to deliver targeted e-marketing.  You will be able to prioritise your workload with minimum supervision. A high level of professionalism, customer service and diplomacy is required for the role as is a willingness to take on new challenges and be receptive to change.

An ability to use adobe software packages, including Photoshop and in-design is preferred.
