Dental Team Ambassadors
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 26,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
The Faculty of Dental Surgery is the largest of the College's faculties with almost 7,000 Fellows and Members worldwide and an extensive portfolio of exams and courses held throughout the year.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a supportive, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to be the face of the Faculty of Dental Surgery for members of the Dental Practice Team for the region in which the Ambassador has responsibility.
Each geographical region will have three Regional Dental Ambassadors: Early Career Ambassador, Dental Team Ambassador and Specialty Ambassador. You will work as the ambassador for your professional context, but also with the other regional ambassadors to provide geographical representation and support. You will also be part of a global network of ambassadors within your sector. We actively support and encourage a collaborative approach to our work. The regions in which we are recruiting are shown in the map (attached below) and listed here:
Northern Scotland, Eastern Scotland, Western Scotland, North East & Cumbria, Yorkshire & Humberside, East Midlands, North West, Wales, West Midlands, London Region, South West, South East, Eastern England, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.
Dental Team Ambassadors must hold a minimum of MFDS RCSEd or an appropriate DCP qualification, have enthusiasm, drive and passion for the development of the dental team and be in good standing with the College. Applicants who are currently not College Members must affiliate with the RCSEd prior to confirmation of their appointment. They should hold GDC registration and be in good standing. They must have no conflict of interest as defined in Dental Regulation 28.
