The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. About the Role
Hours: There are two positions available for a part time permanent cleaner, on either of the following working patterns;
- Pattern A: 14 hours contacted per week working 7am - 3pm on Saturdays & Sundays which includes a one hour unpaid lunch break.
- Pattern B: 15 hours contracted per week working 6am – 9am each day on a variable rota working five out of seven days each week.

We are looking to add Cleaners to our existing Housekeeping team. These positions are based at our College campus at Nicolson Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9DW.
You will have responsibility for the day-to day-cleanliness of areas of the College campus that are used by staff and visitors. These areas include offices, meeting rooms, public areas, conference/event facilities and Surgeons' Hall Museums. You will adhere to Health and Safety procedures and practices.
You will have the ability to work independently and as a team player. General cleaning experience is required. Experience of working in a similar role and environment is desirable. You should have good communication skills and a pro-active approach.
You will frequently be working on your feet. Additional demands for physical effort will be required to carry out cleaning tasks and to operate industrial cleaning equipment.
