The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 27,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
About the Role
The Membership Services Department encompasses three key activities: membership information processing and analysis; ceremonial events; and market research.
The post holder will assist with the organisation of Diploma Ceremonies in Edinburgh and overseas, Fellows Dinners and various other College Ceremonial occasions which may take place from time to time. To support the Membership Services Manager to deliver excellence in relation to the College’s ceremonial activities and membership interaction.
There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal working hours.
This is a superb opportunity for an individual who is confident, methodical, organised and conscientious.
You will have proven administrative experience including excellent data entry and processing skills, ensuring accuracy at all times and have a keen desire to provide an exceptional membership experience.
You will be confident to speak to a wide range of people both over the telephone and in person.
A high level of professionalism and diplomacy is required for the role as is a willingness to take on new challenges and be receptive to change.
