The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 25,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join a professional team. The post holder will provide administrative support to an Administrator.
There may be requirement for the role holder to work outside of normal working hours and travel for work.
With an enthusiastic, methodical and conscientious approach to work you will be educated to a minimum level of at least credit level Standard Grade English (or equivalent). You will have good keyboard skills and have the ability to use IT systems efficiently and effectively (MS Word, Excel). Relevant work experience in a similar organisation/background or proven secretarial/administrative ability is desirable. The ability to work as part of team, communicate effectively at different levels and coordinate a diverse range of activities is essential, as is the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, to tight deadlines and to prioritise day-to-day workloads under minimum supervision.
