Honorary Treasurer Vacancy

The post of Honorary Treasurer will become vacant when Mr Alastair Gibson comes to the end of his term of appointment in November 2022. Applications for the post of Honorary Treasurer are therefore invited. Prospective applicants should be Fellows of the College in good standing. The appointee will become an ex officio member of the College Council, if they are not already a sitting Council member. The Honorary Treasurer is a charitable trustee of the College for the purposes of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.

It is anticipated that the time commitment for this role will average around one day per week, with the postholder attending key Committees and meetings in the College and working remotely from their existing base.

Interested parties are asked complete and return, electronically, both forms provided. The appointment shall be made following a suitable shortlisting and interview process and will be subject to ratification by the College Council.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 1 September 2022. Interviews may be conducted by virtual means.

Following an appointment, the successful candidate will be expected to shadow the incumbent Honorary Treasurer for a period of up to three months in order to familiarise themselves with the role.

A full induction process will be provided, tailored to the needs of the successful candidate.
