Convener of Joint Specialty Fellowship (JSF) Examinations
The post of Lead for the Joint Specialty Fellowship Examinations (JSF) Examinations has existed within the College for five years and has evolved over time to meet the requirements of the College.
These examination activities are conducted through the Examinations Department, led by the interim Director of Examinations and Education with the Convener of College Examinations and the Vice President for Examinations and Education providing support. The examinations department provides the operational capacity for delivery of this examination activity, which currently includes JSF Examinations in Hong Kong Singapore and Malaysia in eight of the SAC defined surgical specialties.
The College has gradually grown these overseas activities and the incoming postholder will be expected to continue to drive these activities along the defined 10 key elements strategy.
Applicants should be RCSEd Fellows in good standing and be a current examiner for the College with a minimum of three years’ experience. A knowledge of quality assurance and international exam delivery is required.
