In the final episode of the patient safety series, Greg and Sesi welcome Kevin Turner, consultant urologist and chair of the surgical adverse events first aid response working group to discuss patient safety from the lens of resilience in surgeons and other clinicians. We discuss the concept of the secondary casualty following significant adverse events, how we can support clinicians through complications and some of the data coming out of ongoing research in this area.
