Mr Ian Ritchie, PRCSEd has welcomed the Government’s commitment to provide the NHS with an extra £8 bn a year by 2020.
Commenting on today’s Queen's Speech, Mr Ritchie said:
"We support the principle of an NHS that operates on a 24/7 basis and is solely focused on improving patient care.
"Additional funding is welcome, but in order that the NHS can realise the aspirations outlined in NHS England’s Five Year Forward View, it must be used to further develop NHS structures based on clinical leadership, team working and patients.
"We look forward to working with the Government to make this vision a reality.”
