Joint policy statement on COVID-19 from the Royal Surgical Colleges

In response to the challenge of COVID-19, the four surgical Royal Colleges of the UK and Ireland have issued a joint policy statement to provide guidance to surgeons and surgical trainees.

Coronavirus/COVID-19: Update from President on College Activities

In light of the UK Government’s decision to move to the DELAY phase of their effort to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 virus, we have taken the decision to postpone all examinations, courses and College events for the next few months from Monday 16 March 2020. This applies across the College and includes all of our Faculties.
Statement on COVID-19 and its effect on surgical training

Today’s intercollegiate statement confirming the postponement of all examinations, courses and other educational events is symptomatic of the effect the COVID-19 pandemic will have on UK healthcare and wider society.
Coronavirus/COVID-19: RCSEd information

We are working closely with the Chief Medical Officers of England and Scotland, with medical bodies, and with the Government to ensure that our members, fellows, surgical and dental colleagues across the country are informed with the latest advice on COVID-19. We participate in daily briefing calls, and are helping disseminate best practice advice to our community of practitioners both medical and dental in all of our seven Faculties.
