Response to COVID-19 in Australia and its impact on elective surgery
In Australia, by mid-March, there was a surge of COVID-19 cases, particularly affecting the more populous states of New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. This led to the commencement of lockdown across Australia, which in Victoria extended from late March to the end of May.
