The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Partners with the David Nott Foundation to Deliver Trauma Surgery Training

In a landmark collaboration aimed at addressing the critical shortage of skilled surgical care in conflict and disaster zones, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) is teaming up with the David Nott Foundation (DNF) to later this year host their Hostile Environment Surgical Training UK (HEST-UK) course at the College in Edinburgh.

The Surgical Skills Competition Grand Final took place at the College on Saturday 16 March. Students from 40 medical schools across the UK came together for a friendly competition to test their surgical skills.

The Malaysia-United Kingdom Travelling Fellowship (MUTF) is a strategic tripartite collaboration programme between the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Malaya (UM). This pilot programme aims to provide observership opportunities for Malaysian surgical trainees to be hosted at centres of surgical excellence in the UK.

Working with the four surgical royal colleges, JCST is committed to a zero-tolerance approach to sexual misconduct. We will actively work to eradicate this behaviour in surgery and healthcare.
