RCSEd Trainees' Committee Seeking New Members
« View all News items
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s Trainees’ Committee is seeking new members. The Committee is a key part of the College. It strives to ensure the views of its Trainees are heard in all aspects of College activity, and offers professional support for the trainee membership. RCSEd is proud to be a College that has a Trainee Member represented and sitting on College Council to inform at a senior level on important issues relevant to its trainees. Trainees are given the opportunity to offer their perspective on key matters at the heart of the College from education, training and examinations, to participating in numerous working groups on topics such as flexible working, anti-bullying and undermining and whistleblowing.
Since its inception in 2012, the Committee has taken forward a number of initiatives on behalf of Trainees, such as negotiating with HMRC for tax relief for the JCST fees and relief for the Specialty Fellowship Examination. Trainees’ Committee members are located across the UK.
To learn more about the Committee’s activities, eligibility to stand for election and the time commitment, read the Trainees’ Committee Advert.
To stand for election to join this dynamic, active and inclusive committee, download and complete the Trainees’ Committee Nomination Form and submit with the supporting documentation by 4pm on 28 February 2020 by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
