Call for Dental Examiner Assessors

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated clinicians with demonstrable experience of dental surgery examining to assess examiners for the Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Royal College of Surgeons of England and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
You should be engaged in (active) clinical/academic practice and be involved in appropriate undergraduate and postgraduate training. As a minimum, applicants should hold the BDS qualification and have some undergraduate and postgraduate examination experience both for the universities AND for the Royal Colleges.
Applicants must be on the Register of the General Dental Council of the United Kingdom.
There will be a minimum of two diets per year for which you will be required. Assessors will be able to earn CPD points during the assessor training. (Once assessors have completed the training and assessed for two diets, they will be invited to join the Faculty of Examiners).
The application pack is available to download bleow and must consist of a curriculum vitae, letter of application and a personal statement (no more than 300 words) of what you would bring to the role of being an assessor. Please note that, if your application is successful, you will be required to attend for one day of training, renewed approximately every five years.
This is rolling recruitment but the first call will close on 1 March 2016.
