On Monday 28 September, HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, Patron of the RCSEd, visited the College to formally open Surgeons’ Hall Museums and the Prince Philip Building. The President, Office Bearers, College staff and guests gathered to welcome HRH Prince Philip on a tour of the revamped museums and new conference and events facility.

The museums have reopened following an 18-month redevelopment with interactive displays alongside the UK’s largest collection of surgical instruments, artworks and pathological specimens.

The College’s President, Mr Ian Ritchie said the visit was a great honour and thanked HRH Prince Philip for his support for the RCSEd over many years.
