RCSEd wishes to appoint a Surgical Advisor of eLearning to lead developments in technology enhanced learning and associated education provided by the College. The post is now vacant following the previous post holder finishing his term of office.
The advisor will be a clinician with a background in Surgery or in any discipline affiliated to Surgery. Prior practical experience of eLearning, technology enhanced learning is required and an academic record in medical education would be advantageous.
The post offers an exciting challenge working with the newly appointed Convener of Education and Director of Professional Activities in a well-developed and effective education department under the management of the Head of Education. The post holder will oversee the College’s eLearning strategy to ensure that our membership benefits from the highest quality of resources through the application of best practice in educational delivery. In addition he/she will also advise the College on the delivery of its educational portfolio using technologies to support and deliver in ways that best meet the membership’s needs going forward.
The post is non-remunerated, will be based with the Education Department of the College and will report to Council through the Education Strategy Group.
