Dental Faculty Elects Vice Dean

The RCSEd’s Faculty of Dental Surgery has elected Dr Sarah Manton as its new Vice Dean.
Dr Sarah Manton (pictured) is Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Restorative and Special Care Dentistry at the University of Dundee Dental School and Hospital, where she leads the service for dentally anxious and special care patients.
She is currently Chair of the Specialist Advisory Board in Oral Medicine and Special Care Dentistry at RCSEd and has been a Member of Dental Council since 2007.
Dr Manton said: “I am delighted and honoured to have been elected Vice Dean and very much look forward to supporting the Dean, Dental Council and Members of the Faculty in the work of the College and with the challenges ahead.”
Welcoming Dr Manton’s election, Dental Dean Professor Richard Ibbetson added: “Sarah Manton brings a wealth of skill and experience to her new role having served the Faculty both as a member of Dental Council and Chair of the Advisory Board in Oral Medicine and Special Care Dentistry. I wish her every success.”
Dr Manton will assume her new role on 24 October alongside Dean-elect of the Faculty, Professor Bill Saunders.
