RCSEd Fellows and Members Invitation

RCSEd Fellows and Members are invited to The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) for an evening to celebrate the launch of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) 2015 Perth Annual Scientific Congress from 6pm on Wednesday 12 February 2014.

The 2015 RACS Annual Scientific Congress will take place in Perth, Western Australia from 4-8 May 2015, in collaboration with The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, and will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli.

At the launch evening for this meeting at RCSEd on 12 February 2014, Professor David Watters OBE ChM FRCSEd FRACS will give a lecture entitled ‘Lest we Forget: Surgeons and Surgery at Gallipoli, 1915’ and Mr Tom Scotland FRCSEd and Col. Mike Stewart FRCSEd will give a talk entitled ‘From Flanders Fields to the Green Zone of Helmand Province: The development of surgical specialties during the Great War and their relevance to modern military surgery’.

RCSEd Fellows and Members are welcome to come along to RCSEd for a thought-provoking evening of lectures, accompanied by Western Australia’s finest wines.
