The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Dental Faculty has welcomed the published findings of the Department of Health’s engagement exercise on Dental Contract Reform, released on the 15 January.

Dean of the Dental Faculty, Professor William Saunders said:

"Preventative dentistry is paramount in ensuring the long term oral health of patients across the country and to reducing health inequalities.

"This is why RCSEd Dental Faculty submitted a detailed response to the DoH’s consultation, outlining reforms that would enable more dentists to undertake pre-emptive work. We are pleased to see that our recommendations have been reflected in the response, and we look forward to working with the Government to realise these goals.”
