US trauma expert to visit RCSEd

A leading authority on the delivery of trauma services is to give a talk at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr Ernest Moore, Professor and Vice Chairman of Surgery at the University of Colorado, Denver, will deliver the keynote lecture at 'Trauma services in the 21st Century: Lessons from the past and aims for the future', at the RCSEd on Thursday 4 July.

Dr Moore, who is also Editor of the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, will be discussing the delivery of trauma services in the US from large cities to remote and rural areas.

Speaking alongside Dr Moore will be Mr Jan Jansen (Aberdeen), who will discuss the GEOS study, and Mr Michael Donald (Dundee) with a talk on pre-hospital assessment and retrieval.
