The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) is holding a Sports & Exercise Medicine Symposium at their Queen Street venue on Friday 7 February 2014.

Sport and exercise medicine is now recognised as a specialty in the UK. The aim of this hot topic symposium is to review some of the major areas within this specific clinical subject and areas of interest within the wider medical community. This symposium will be of interest to all who are involved in the preparation of athletes, the care of sports injuries and exercise prescription.

Chairing Session 2 of this Symposium, is RCSEd’s Physical Activity Lead, Mr Jonathan Dearing, Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at Ayr Hospital, which will discuss ‘Exercise and Sport Good; Injuries Bad’.
