Dental Council Election Results

Following the Dental Council Elections on 4 September 2012, the RCSEd Faculty of Dental Surgery is pleased to announce Dr Sarah L Manton, Dr Helen L Craddock and Dr Dirk Bister have been elected to Dental Council and will take up their seats at the next Annual Dental Meeting on the 21 September 2012.


Dr Manton is currently on Dental Council and has been elected for a second term of five years. She is currently Chair of the Specialty Advisory Board in Oral Medicine and Special Care Dentistry, Chair of the Tri-collegiate Board for the Membership in Special Care Dentistry Examination, Member of the Intercollegiate Advisory Committee on Sedation in Dentistry as well as examining for MFDS, Restorative Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry Examinations for RCSEd.


Dr Craddock has also been elected to Council for a full five-year term. She is currently a College Examiner for the MFDS and the Membership in Prosthodontics.


Dr Bister has been elected to Dental Council for one year, to fill the current vacancy within Council. He is currently Question Bank Manager for the Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy and sits on the Advisory Board for Dental Care Professionals.  He is also an examiner for the Membership in Orthodontics.


Commenting on their election to the Dental Council, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Professor Richard Ibbetson said:


"I and the rest of the Dental Council look forward to serving with them as they take up their responsibilities."
