The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is hosting a Regional Forum for Fellows, Members and Affiliates at the Education Centre of The Royal Liverpool Hospital at 6.30pm on Thursday 18 October 2012.

Open to all the RCSEd membership, from students to senior consultants, the evening will begin with a talk from the College President, Mr David Tolley followed by an opportunity to discuss current issues affecting the surgical profession. Topics for discussion will be varied and may include the challenges of training in a 48-hour week to CPD and revalidation.

The event is designed for the College to engage with the membership and listen to your views on how the College can support you throughout your surgical career.

As part of the Forum, there will be an 'Aspiring Surgeons' session which will include a talk on the MRCS Examination, from a current MRCS Examiner, and a Surgical Careers session lead by local Regional Surgical Advisers. Students and junior doctors  will have the opportunity to join senior trainees and consultants from other breakout groups for drinks and canapés. There is no charge to attend. Certificates will be available to those who register.
