RCSEd Hosts Sheffield Regional Forum

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is hosting a Regional Forum for Fellows, Members and Affiliates at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield at 6pm on Thursday 5 July 2012.


Open to all the RCSEd membership, from students to senior consultants, the evening will begin with a talk from the College President, Mr David Tolley followed by an opportunity to discuss current issues affecting the surgical profession. Topics for discussion will be varied and may include the challenges of training in a 48-hour week to CPD and revalidation.


There will also be opportunity to meet with College Office Bearers, Council Members and your local Regional Surgical Advisers, Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at the Northern General Hospital Mr Aidan Fitzgerald and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon based at Scarborough Hospital Dr Clare McNaught. The event is designed for the College to engage with the membership and listen to your views on how the College can support you throughout your surgical career.


Registration will be from 6pm, with the event commencing at 6.30pm. The event is expected to close at approximately 8.30pm, with drinks and canapés.
