MRCS Lecture Roadshow

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is continuing its series of MRCS lectures aimed at foundation doctors, surgical trainees & senior medical students who are interested in pursuing a career in surgery.

The purpose of the lecture is to provide an insight into the MRCS examination with a particular focus on the Part B OSCE; the purpose and format of the exam, the broad content areas, domains, how the exam is assessed and marked and an insight from the perspective of an Intercollegiate MRCS Examiner. 

The next lectures will be held in June and July at the following centres:

  • Tuesday 19 June 2012 - Postgraduate Education Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham

Speaker: Mr Rajiv Vohra, Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Birmingham

 

  • Tuesday 26 June 2012 - Postgraduate Education Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary

Speaker: Mr Chelliah Selvasekar, Consultant General Surgeon, Manchester

 

  • Tuesday 3 July 2012 - Chancellor's Building, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh

Speaker: Mr Zahid Raza, Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Edinburgh

 

Registration for all these events will start at 6pm and is due to finish around 8.30pm. The lectures are free to attend and all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and refreshments.
