The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh are inviting 4th and 5th year medical students and foundation doctors to attend an RCSEd Surgical Careers Roadshow in Inverness, from 5pm to 7pm, on Friday 28 September 2012.

Hosted by RCSEd Regional Surgical Adviser Professor Angus Watson, and with the support of local Fellows, attendees will be given the opportunity to speak with representatives from each of the surgical specialties on any aspect of pursuing a career in surgery.

This is an ideal occasion to speak freely and informally with surgeons who have already navigated the surgical career pathway and who can advise you on topics such as how to develop your portfolio, career progression, training structures and provide answers to specialty specific questions. There will also be some practical sessions available.

This event is free to attend and will take place at the Centre for Health Science, Old Perth Road, Inverness. A certificate of attendance will be available to all those who register. Refreshments and snacks will be served at 6.30pm and the evening will conclude at 7pm.
