Manchester Dental Professionals Receive Prestigious Diplomas from RCSEd

Six dental care professionals from the Central Manchester School of Dental Care Professionals joined surgeons and dental professionals from around the world as they attended The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's Diploma Ceremony at the 500-year-old College on Friday 27 April 2012.
Having studied for the Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy at the Manchester School, and passed their exams at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the six diplomates - Emma Louise Brearley, Philippa Louise Cooke, Hayley Davies, Keeley Jane Ross, Amanda Jane Sweet and Kathryn Woods - officially received their diplomas from the Dean of the Dental Faculty, Professor Richard Ibbetson at a ceremony attended by approximately 80 surgeons and dental professionals from around the world.
Commenting on the occasion, Dean of the Dental Faculty, Professor Richard Ibbetson said:
"The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh has a strong relationship with the Central Manchester School of Dental Care Professionals in delivering excellence in dental education and advancement. We are delighted to recognise these individuals' success at passing their exams with us. It was a great pleasure in welcoming them as Diplomates to the College and presenting their diplomas to mark their outstanding achievement. I wish them a very rewarding career in orthodontic therapy."
34-year-old Hayley Davies from Derbyshire who is received her diploma said:
"I am delighted to have received my Diploma from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. It is an honour to have joined one of the world's oldest and largest surgical and dental institutions and to have had my achievement recognised at such a prestigious ceremony with surgeons and dental professionals from around the world."

At the awards ceremony, the Manchester diplomates joined surgeons and dental surgeons from countries around the globe who traveled to Edinburgh to receive Fellowship and Membership diplomas in recognition of passing a range of rigorous surgical and dental examinations.
