The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is pleased to announce the results of its recent Council elections.
On 16 September, Mr Richard Montgomery, Consultant Trauma Orthopaedic Surgeon at Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital, was elected for a five-year term along with Mr Simon Paterson-Brown, Consultant General and Upper GI Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Serving Council member Miss Elaine Griffiths, Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Liverpool Heart Chest Hospital, was re-elected to serve a second five-year term.
The College congratulates all three on their success.
