It is our aim to deliver a global network of remote and rural healthcare professionals through meaningful collaboration.
To this end, we have established five priority work streams, each one led by a member of our executive committee team and supported by a number of volunteers. Our volunteers represent a diverse selection of world experts in industry, public & private healthcare professions and we welcome input from our members and all key stakeholders involved in remote and rural health.
Our current focus lies in the creation of a Capabilities Framework, sitting under the Education, Standards and Accreditation work stream.
This framework will provide a description of the scope of practice and capabilities required of those working in remote and rural contexts. This work will provide the foundation against which training providers can align course development and act as a basis for the development of clinical examinations in remote and rural health.
