The Tri-Collegiate Membership in Special Care Dentistry is run jointly between the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
With effect from January 2020, with the set-up of a single Secretariat for TSMEE, the administration for each diet of the examination is handled by the ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS of EDINBURGH and all applications and fees should be sent directly to RCSEd regardless of which College/s a candidate may wish to affilate with.
Candidates wishing to affiliate to The Royal College of Surgeons of England or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow should still send their application and fee to The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, but should clearly indicate in the required field/s of the application form to which College they wish to affiliate to, upon passing the Examination.
This examination is conducted in English.
Candidates applying for an examination far in advance of the closing date should be aware that examination fees are subject to change.
In the unlikely event that the examination has to be cancelled, the examination fee shall be reimbursed, but the three Royal Colleges shall incur no further liability.
Candidates are advised NOT to book travel and accommodation until such time as they have received their individual notice detailing when and where to attend.

Paper Application
You must ensure that your application form reaches the College no later than the advertised closing date. Late applications will automatically be returned. No allowance will be made for postal or other delays.
