Overview

This course will help participants to develop self awareness of their learning styles, individual strengths and development needs. It will also discuss service improvement including writing business cases and discuss areas such as time management and work life balance. (This course has been accredited by the AfPP Education Reference Group.)

Target Audience

This course is aimed at SCPs, SFAs, Trainee SCP or SFAs, Nurse's and ODP's.

Learning Style

Interactive sessions with discussion and active participation.

Aims & Objectives

This course aims to give an introduction to the importance of developing self awareness and team working skills and to the skills needed for service development. In addition it aims to allow staff to identify further development and training needs and to signpost the training courses and opportunities available to help support the development of their leadership skills.

Learning Outcomes

After attending this one day course delegates will be able to: 1) Explain the different leadership styles and the implications of these in the workplace. 2) Describe the dynamics between personalities when working in a team. 3) Give examples of individual practice styles and leadership development needs.
