Career Planning Events (Newcastle)
Wednesday 21 February 2018
New Education Centre, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle
The College is holding two events in Newcastle on 21 February 2018, The RCSEd North East President's Forum: Planning Your Career at 6:15pm-9pm and Returning to Work and Flexible Training: Support for Surgical Trainees and Surgeons from 2pm-5pm.
This free event will consist of informal lecture-based discussions where delegates will have the opportunity to talk about their experiences of working less than full time, being out of programme and returning to work in a surgical career, and issues that affect them such as time management, maternity issues, rota organisation and balancing research/clinical activities. Meet like-minded peers and gain a greater understanding of how to manage issues arising from being out of programme, returning to work after time out and flexible working.
You are invited to join the President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) for an evening of discussion and debate on all aspects of surgical career planning, from training through to preparing for retirement. Speakers range from registrars to newly appointed consultants and senior consultants to offer views from each stage of the surgical career.
The event is open to all, so join us for an evening of presentations, discussions and networking on the key topics that will affect your career.
