Submissions are open until 31 October for the annual Cutlers Surgical Prize, which recognises outstanding advances in the design of a surgical instrument or technique.

The prize comprises the silver gilt Clarke Medal and a sum of £1,000 and is presented at a dinner held at Cutlers Hall in the City of London.
