President's Meeting 2013
Recognising its increasing significance since the launch of Revalidation, 'Surgical Outcomes' was the topic for The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's President's Meeting, held at the College on Friday 8 March 2013.
The conference programme included a comprehensive overview of the key issues surrounding surgical outcomes.
Key speakers included Dr John Birkmeyer from the University of Michigan who delivered the Lister Legacy Lecture, in which he explored variation in surgical outcomes and its underlying causes and also spoke on new models for collaborative quality improvement in surgical care.
