The College is delighted to confirm our RCSEd International Conference in Chennai on 6-8 October 2022.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an institution with an illustrious past and a vibrant future, as membership approaches 29,000 worldwide. With the College’s international activity growing year by year, the RCSEd invites you to take part in the first of many RCSEd International Conferences in the biggest cultural, economic and educational centre of South India, India’s health capital, Chennai. We will have an international audience, with delegates from across a number of specialties with surgeons and dentists at all stages of their careers. RCSEd will allocate one hour of CPD per hour of conference attended and up to a maximum of 18 points for attending the full event.

* We recognise that there remains some uncertainty around in person events in 2022, particularly due to the ongoing prevalence of COVID-19 and any future actions or restrictions that may need to be applied in response. The safety of our staff, members and guests is our priority consideration. For this reason, we want to reassure registrants that the RCSEd International Conference in Chennai will be run in strict accordance with any safety measures and regulations applied at the time. If, at any stage, the College feels that the ability to run the event safely is compromised by the COVID-19 situation we will either: a) consider the potential to run the event virtually; b) postpone the event to an alternative date and time; or b) cancel the event completely. In the event of postponement, registrants will have the option to transfer their registration fee to the alternative date and time or request a full refund. In the event of a complete cancellation, all registration fees will be automatically refunded in full. 

RCSEd shall incur no further liability (e.g. travel or accommodation costs). You may wish to consider taking out appropriate travel insurance for any non-refundable costs you may incur when arranging to attend the conference.

If booked delegates chose to cancel their place more than eight weeks before the conference’s start date (up to Wed 10 August included) their registration fee will be refunded in full. If booked delegates cancel between 8 and 4 weeks before the conference (up to Wed 7 September 2022 included) 50% of their registration fee will be refunded. If delegates cancel their place less than four weeks before the conference or once the conference has started the total conference fee will be charged and there will be no refund.
